Jan Riha

I am a professional, fully certified ski instructor and sports enthusiast with a sports university degree in my background. I grew up doing multiple sports, mostly an ice hockey, that has shaped me into a sports loving person. When I was 20 years old transferred this love into teaching skiing, which has become my favorite sport, hobby and work at the same time. In last 10 years this passion has brought me to multiple countries and eventually to Hokkaido to ski the best snow in the world, where I have been living for 4 years now. I am qualified and experienced to teach anyone from first timers, intermediate, advanced skiers searching for a better ski performance, or those who are searching for fluffy powder! Let’s go skiing ✌️ I am also providing ice skating lessons at nearby ice rink around 30 minutes from Niseko. I speak English, Japanese and Czech language fluently.

Hokkaido is an amazing environment where in a winter time you can swim in a deep powder snow while in summer time this environment turns into jungle. The nature here is strong and is creating a great playground for outdoor sports which I love to do and also like to teach or guide, whether it is summer on a river or winter on a mountain.


