🧭 Mountain Safety & Equipment

In remote, high-consequence environments, experience and preparation are everything. All Hokkaido Vibe guides are thoroughly assessed and must maintain up-to-date certifications in backcountry travel and first aid. If they don’t meet our standards, they don’t guide — simple as that.

For any tour beyond resort boundaries, avalanche safety gear (beacon, probe, shovel, pack) is mandatory. We offer rental sets, or you’re welcome to bring your own — but it must be fully functional. Faulty gear can delay or cancel your tour.

Please be honest about medical conditions or medications. With distance from rescue, withholding information is irresponsible and unsafe.

The backcountry is serious terrain. Come prepared, respect the risks — and you’ll have an unforgettable adventure.

âś… Book With Confidence

We know this terrain intimately, and that experience lets us tailor each tour to your ability, goals, and the conditions on the day.

At Hokkaido Vibe, guiding is more than a service — it’s a shared passion. We’re a close-knit team of long-term professionals who live and breathe the mountains. When you tour with us, you’re in the hands of people who truly know the landscape, and love what they do.

If we are fully booked we will endevour to conncet you with another trusted local guide.
