🏔 Our Multi-Day Road Trips
Somthing for everyone:
Beginners – Because road trips aren’t just for the pros. Newbies have the advantage of hitting smaller, more cultural local resorts — and still having an epic time! (We love these trips.)
Intermediate – We know the resorts, we know the terrain. Our guides match your crew with the perfect spots to build confidence and explore more.
Advanced – Chase the storms, fat skis and Pow boards only. With deep local knowledge, we’ll follow the weather and take you to the best snow — wherever it’s falling.
Almost 100% of our road trips are booked by intermediate and advanced powder skiers — and we love guiding them — but we believe beginners and progressing riders are missing out. Exploring Hokkaido while learning to ski or snowboard is an incredible opportunity. All our guides are fully certified instructors, so these trips can combine both guiding and on-the-go learning.

🧭 Mountain Safety & Equipment
In remote, high-consequence environments, experience and preparation are everything. All Hokkaido Vibe guides are thoroughly assessed and must maintain up-to-date certifications in backcountry travel and first aid. If they don’t meet our standards, they don’t guide — simple as that.
For any tour beyond resort boundaries, avalanche safety gear (beacon, probe, shovel, pack) is mandatory. We offer rental sets, or you’re welcome to bring your own — but it must be fully functional. Faulty gear can delay or cancel your tour.
Please be honest about medical conditions or medications. With distance from rescue, withholding information is irresponsible and unsafe.
The backcountry is serious terrain. Come prepared, respect the risks — and you’ll have an unforgettable adventure.
✅ Book With Confidence
When it comes to roadtrips, flexibility and local experience are everything. Our guides aren’t just backcountry pros — they’re also fully qualified instructors. That means even if conditions don’t deliver deep powder, we can pivot to on-snow coaching, skill progression, or a resort-focused day. The average Vibe guide has over 12 winters in Hokkaido, giving us the knowledge to build each trip around your goals, ability, and the conditions. From powder hunting to lesson-based roadtrips, we’ve got you covered.
If we’re fully booked, we’ll do our best to connect you with a trusted local team.
Our guides have an average of 12 winters’ experience in Niseko and Hokkaido. When it comes to guiding, local knowledge makes all the difference.
